De Jager Earns GPAC Player, Setter Of The Year

The 2018 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Volleyball All-Conference Team has been selected.

Jamie De Jager from Dordt was selected as the Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Player-of-the-Year. Chad Hanson from Dordt was named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Coach-of-the-Year. Dordt College won the regular and postseason championships for 2018. Dordt, Northwestern, Hastings, Midland, and Morningside have all advanced to the final site at the Tyson Events Center in Sioux City, Iowa. Jamestown will play in the opening round of the NAIA National Tournament on Saturday, November 17. The GPAC All-Conference teams were selected by the league coaches.

First teamers from Dordt include Jamie De Jager, Ema Altena, and Aubrey Drake. Northwestern first team players were Makenzie Fink, and Lauryn Hilger.

Briar Cliff and Sheldon native, Courtney Schafer earned second team honors.
