DeHaan To Play Football at Northwestern

Caleb DeHaan of Orange City has signed a letter of intent to continue his football career at Northwestern College next year.

DeHaan is a 6’0”, 180-pound running back and letterwinner who lettered three years for the MOC-Floyd Valley High School football team. He earned second team all-state honors and registered 55 solo and 102 total tackles last year. De Haan also recovered three fumbles. On offense, he totaled 188 rushing yards and four touchdowns, earned first team all-conference honors for the second straight year. A member of the National Honor Society, De Haan plans to major in business at Northwestern. He is the son of Brent and Patti.

“Caleb is a competitor,” commented head football coach Kyle Achterhoff. “He works very hard, plays hard and really understands the game of football. His skills and ability will be an asset to our defense.”
