DNR Hunting/Trapping Rules Listening Sessions Are Wednesday Night

Iowa DNRSheldon, Iowa — Sheldon will be one of seventeen locations across Iowa for a Public Listening Session in which the Iowa Department of Natural Resources will get citizen’s feedback on Iowa’s hunting and trapping regulations.  These meetings will be held Wednesday evening, February 234th

At each meeting, hunters can share what went well last fall, what didn’t, and changes they would like to see. These discussions, along with the data collected by the DNR Wildlife Bureau on harvest and population numbers, will be used to develop recommendations for any hunting regulation changes this fall.

In addition to Sheldon, meetings will be held in Boone, Calmar, Clinton, Council Bluffs, Creston, Iowa City, Johnston, Marshalltown, Mason City, Ottumwa, Peosta, Sac City, Sergeant Bluff, Spencer, Tripoli and West Burlington.

The Sheldon session will be held at Northwest Iowa Community College, Bldg D, Room #402, and will run from 6 until 9 pm Wednesday evening.
