Dordt Defender Men Number Three in Latest NAIA Division II Mens Basketball Poll

The Dordt College Defender men’s basketball team is number three in the NAIA Division II Men’s Basketball Coaches’ Poll announced late Tuesday by the national office.
The Defenders took 286 points after starting the season with a 7-1 record and held the same spot they had in the pre-season poll. The Defenders will play two conference games this week on the road against Dakota Wesleyan on Wednesday, November 28 and Midland on Saturday, December 1st.
Northwood, the pre-season no. 1 team and the 2012 National Tournament runner-up, received all 12 first place votes in the poll conducted by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences and independents.
GPAC members Northwestern at number 6, and Doane at number 14 are also in the poll. Briar Cliff and Hastings are both in the receiving votes category.
