Dordt Heads To Hastings For GPAC Football

Dordt College goes on the road for a GPAC contest against Hastings on Saturday, September 22 at 1:00 pm.

The Defenders are 1-1 this season after a 24-21 loss to Doane and a non-conference 61-40 win over Waldorf to open the season.

Dordt has outscored teams 82-64 through two games. The Defenders are averaging 520 yards of offense with 274 rushing and 245 passing.  Noah Clayberg has run for 176 yards through two games but left the Doane game with an injury and did not return. Levi Schoonhoven also has run for 128 yards and Keithen Drury has run for 116 yards. Drury also got banged up in the Doane game and didn’t play the second half. Brock Lamle is 23-53 passing for 464 yards and five touchdowns with three interceptions. Lamle has also run for 97 yards on 17 carries. Levi Jungling has nine catches for 218 yards with one score and Jake Dodge has four catches for 35 yards. Clayberg and Matthew Oh-Slack have three catches each for 91 and 83 yards respectively.

Hastings is 2-1 this season and 0-1 in GPAC play with a 26-14 loss to Briar Cliff on September 15 and wins over Peru State and Oklahoma Panhandle State.

The Broncos have outscored teams 65-64 this season. Hastings has been outgained on average 353-345 with 130 yards on the ground and 215 in the air.  Teams are gaining 182 yards per game against Hastings. Tahj Willingham has run for 292 yards with 70 rushes and three touchdowns. Tyree Nesmith has run for 113 yards on 34 rushes. Clark Livingston is 65-122 passing with three touchdowns and two interceptions and he throws for 215 yards per game.   Jordan Johnson has caught 14 passes for 231 yards (16.5 yards per catch), with Willingham catching 12 passes for 56 yards and Miller has 10 catches. Johnson has two touchdown catches.
