Dordt, Northwestern Victorious in GPAC Volleyball Play Wednesday, October 3rd

Both the Dordt Defender and Northwestern Red Raider volleyball teams were victorious in GPAC play Wednesday.

Dordt College overcame a 2-1 set deficit to win their 16th match of the season, a 3-2 victory over Morningside in GPAC play on Wednesday night in Sioux Center. The Defenders won by scores of 25-22, 22-25, 23-25, 25-23, 15-7. The match was the sixth time Dordt has gone to five sets this season, all resulting in wins.

Dordt is 16-4 overall and 6-1 in the league while Morningside falls to 2-5 and 11-9.

Northwestern was a straight set winner on the road in Yankton, SD defeating the Mount Marty Lancers 3-0. Game scores of 25-12, 25-12, 25-14. With the win, Northwestern improves to 4-3 in the GPAC, 14-6 overall. Mount Marty is now 1-6 in the conference, 4-14 overall.

Northwestern leads the all-time series 33-1, dating back to the 1989 season.
