Dordt’s Raszler, Connelly Earn GPAC Volleyball Honors

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following Volleyball players-of-the-week for contests played September 30-October 6, 2019. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2019-2020 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Setter- Megan Raszler, Dordt University

Megan Raszler of Dordt University is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Setter-of-the-Week. Raszler, a freshman from Elkhorn, Nebraska, averaged just under 11 assists per set in Dordt’s two wins last week. In fact, since she has averaged over 10 assists per set since Dordt’s transition to a one-setter offense. In the Defenders five-set win over No. 12 Grand View she dished out 54 assists to go along with 10 digs.

Defender – Hannah Connelly, Dordt University (Defensive Specialist)

Dordt defensive specialist Hannah Connelly is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Defender-of-the-Week. Connely, a junior from McCook Lake, South Dakota, averaged nearly six digs per set in a five-set win over No. 12 Grand View last week. She totaled 28 digs and was perfect on serve receive.
