Elijah Dahl to Wrestle at Northwestern

Northwesstern logoElijah Dahl of has signed a letter of intent to continue his wrestling career at Northwestern beginning this fall.

Dahl, the son of Rik and Amy, is a 5-10 141 lb. wrestler from MOC-FV High School. Dahl finished his senior season with a 43-3 record and was 123-26 in his career, earning four letters for head coach Lyle Lundgren. Dahl finished in fifth place at the Iowa State Wrestling Tournament as a senior. Dahl recorded eight technical falls in 2014 and finished with 88 career pins. He was named MOC-FV’s Most Valuable wrestler as both a junior and senior. Dahl a member of the honor roll, will enter Northwestern as an undecided major.

Red Raiders head coach Rik Dahl said, “Elijah is a young man we feel we can build around. “Obviously as his father I feel he can be successful, however, as a college coach I want to bring young men here who will feed the culture we want to portray. Elijah is that kind of young man. His character and work ethic will make us better. We look forward to having him compete right away for a spot and build on his high school career under Coach Lundgren’s tutelage.”
