Erika Feenstra Earns GPAC Player Of The Week

Sioux City, Iowa – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following basketball players-of-the-week for contests played Nov. 26-Dec. 2, 2018. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2018-2019 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Basketball Players-of-the-Week

Women – Erika Feenstra, Dordt College (Forward)

Dordt forward Erika Feenstra is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports women’s basketball player-of-the-week. Feenstra, a sophomore from Hull, Iowa, averaged 37.5 points per game as the Defenders split their two games against ranked opponents. She established a new school record for single-game points with 43 against Northwestern, breaking a record that has stood since 1986. For the week she scored 75 points while taking just 37 shots from the field, converting 76 percent of her field goals. Currently she leads the NAIA in scoring with over 26 points per game and leads the nation in field goal percentage with 66 through 11 games.
