“Alyssa will be a great addition to our women’s golf team next fall. She has had an outstanding high school golf career at Unity Christian, leading them to the previous two state golf tournaments; and compiling two top-ten finishes in the state golf meet the past two seasons. Her golf game has really improved with instruction from Matt Nice, PGA golf professional at The Ridge Golf Club. She is a great leader and competitor and will bring these gifts into our program and will have an immediate impact in the GPAC conference,” said Dordt Golf Coach Mark Christians.

“One thing that sticks out to me in regards to Alyssa is her commitment to her team. She leads well, works hard, and gives an all-out effort for benefit of her team. She is the type of kid who will do whatever is asked, without questions. You need kids with that mentality in your program if you want to be successful. I have appreciated hearing her high school coaches and teammates talk about the impact she makes with her toughness and work ethic and look forward to coaching her at Dordt,” said Women’s basketball Coach Katie DeWitt-Severson.

Alyssa is the daughter of Ron and Marg Fedders of Sioux Center, Iowa. She plans to studyExercise Science at Dordt.
