KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Erika Feenstra of Dordt (Iowa) has been named the NAIA National Women’s Basketball Div II Player of the Week, the National office announced Tuesday. Feenstra was selected over a pool of nominees based on competition from Nov. 26-Dec. 2.
Feenstra averaged 37.5 points per game as Dordt split its two games against ranked opponents. Established a new school record for single game points with 43 against Northwestern (Iowa), breaking a record that has stood since 1986. Scored 75 points while taking just 37 shots from the field and converted 76 percent of her field goals. Leads the NAIA in scoring with over 26 points per game and leads the nation in field goal percentage with 66 through 11 games.
