Football Broadcast Preview for Friday October 12th

Northwest Iowa — Week eight of the high school football season brings a slim margin of error for teams with playoff aspirations with only two  weeks left in the regular season and just 16 spots available in each class. The Sheldon Orabs are coming off a home loss to Boyden Hull Rock Valley as they head to Okoboji. The Nighthawks will host MOC Floyd Valley in a game played at Rock Valley.

The Orabs travel to Okoboji with a 4-3 season record and 1-2 district mark. The Pioneers are 2-5 on the season and 0-3 in the district coming off a home loss to Central Lyon George Little Rock.

Orab Head Coach Tyler Lloyd sees the Pioneers as assignment solid on the defensive side of the ball.

Keys to a win  for the Orabs begin with rediscovering their explosive plays.

Pioneers Head Coach Jon Allen had this assessment of Orab quarterback Brennan Radke and the Sheldon passing game.

Along with most fans of both teams Allen would like to see a shootout in Milford.

Kory Roos joins LA to bring you the coverage on KIWA AM 1550 and FM 100.7.

Boyden Hull Rock Valley remained at the #2 spot in the latest Radio Iowa 2A poll. They will host MOC Floyd Valley in Rock Valley. The Nighthawks lead the district with a 3-0 record and are 6-1 on the year. The Dutch will come into the game at 1-6 on the year and 1-2 in the district. MOC Floyd Valley came out on the short end of a 7-0 defensive battle at home against Sioux Center last Friday while Boyden Hull Rock Valley posted a 48-0 win at Sheldon.

Nighthawk Head Coach Corey Brandt describes the Dutch as a big physical team.

This weeks keys for a Nighthawk win include preparation and execution.

MOC Floyd Valley Head Coach Grant Hegstad describes the Nighthawks as a complete team.

The coach adds this weeks game will take a complete game effort on the part of the Dutch.

Jon and Justin Hellinga continue our season long coverage of the Nighthawks on KIWA FM 105.3.
