Nighthawks vs Orabs Football Preview

Northwest Iowa — Week seven of the high school football season brings a number of meaningful late season games. One of those will be played in Sheldon when the Orabs host Boyden Hull Rock Valley. The Nighthawks come in unbeaten in the district at 2-0 while the Orabs are 1-1.

The Nighthawks are 5-1 on the season coming off a 67-13 home win over Okoboji. The Orabs posted a 32-14 win at Sioux Center last week to improve to 4-2 on the year.

Orab Head Coach Tyler Lloyd feels what makes the Nighthawks different from other teams is the confidence they play with.

The main point of emphasis for the Orabs will be keeping the number of Nighthawk big plays to a minimum.

Nighthawk Head Coach Corey Brandt talks about the Orabs ability to replace a number of starters from last year and still maintain a high level of play.

Brandt feels the real key to a win is just playing a “clean game” free of self inflicted errors.
