Friday Football Broadcast Preview for October 14th

football 1Northwest Iowa — Week eight of the high school football season finds the Sheldon Orabs at home to Pocahontas Area. The Orabs are 1-4 in the district and 3-4 on the season while Pocahontas is looking to break an 0-7 streak.

Despite looking for their first win Orab Head Coach Tyler Lloyd agrees the Indians are a dangerous team.

Lloyd feels the biggest key is turnover margin.

Pocahontas Area Co-Head Coach Mike Ehn talks about Sheldon’s competitive nature.

Ehn sees the keys to an Indians win this way.

Boyden Hull Rock Valley with an unblemished district record can claim a playoff spot with a win over visiting Sioux Center. The Nighthawks are 6-0 with a 6-1 season record. The Warriors are 3-2 in the district and 4-3 on the year. Both teams are coming off road wins. The Nighthawks won at MOC Floyd Valley and Sioux Center left Sheldon with a win last Friday.

Nighthawks Head Coach Cory Brandt is impressed with the Warriors on both sides of the ball.

Brandt feels the Nighthawks will have to be solid in all phases of the game.

Sioux Center Head Coach Tim Van Regenmorter on what jumps out about the Nighthawks.

Van Regenmorter feels ball security will be huge.
