Northwest Iowa — Week eight of the Iowa High School Football season finds Sheldon on the road at Pocahontas Area. Sheldon is 5-2 on the season and 3-2 in the district following a 41-40 road loss to 7th ranked Sioux Center. Pocahontas Area fell 24-7 to Estherville Lincoln Central at Estherville last Friday.
With the Indians looking for their first win Sheldon Head Coach Tyler Lloyd knows that makes them a dangerous team.
Lloyd feels the keys to the game begin with turnovers.
The Orabs athleticism stands out to Indians Head Coach Mike Ehn.
According to Ehn the big factor tonight for the Indians will be time of possession.
The Coach Kory Roos and LA bring you season long coverage of the Orabs on KIWA AM 1550.
Fourth ranked Boyden Hull Rock Valley will take a 6-1 season record but more importantly a 5-0 district mark to Open Space Park for a meeting with unbeaten and 7th ranked Sioux Center. With one game left in the regular season it could turn out to be the district championship game. The Nighthawks are coming off a 40-13 home win over MOC Floyd Valley. Sioux Center downed Sheldon 41-40 at home last Friday.
Nighthawks Head Coach Corey Brandt say his team is embracing the big game atmosphere.
Brandt is impressed with the multiplicity that Sioux Center brings on both defense and offense.
Sioux Center Head Coach Tim Van Regenmorter talks about being in a position to play for the district lead in week 8.
Van Regenmorter adds it’s hard to pick just one area as the strength of the Nighthawks.
