GPAC All Conference Womens Basketball Team Named

Kendra De Jong from Northwestern has been selected as the Hauff Mid-America Sports/Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Womens Basketball Player-of-the-Year to headline the GPAC Basketball All-Conference Teams for 2011-12.

De Jong led the GPAC in scoring at 19.2 points per game, was third in field goal percentage at 58 percent, and was fourth in rebounding at 8.6 per game.

Other GPAC basketball honorees for 2011-12 include: Defensive Player-of-the-Year Katie Rich from Concordia; Freshmen-of-the-Year Mattie Murren from Briar Cliff; and the Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Coach-of-the-Year Drew
Olson from Concordia. The All-GPAC Basketball Teams are selected by the leagues 11 head coaches.
