GPAC Basketball From Saturday

The Dordt College Defender women had their season draw to a close with a 58-55 loss to the Doane College Tigers in GPAC play Saturday afternoon. The Defenders finish with a 10-18 record overall and 5-15 in the conference while the Tigers advance to post season play with a 10-10 GPAC record and 14-11 for the season.
Meanwhile, number 7 Northwestern enjoyed a 90-70 victory over GPAC rival Midland Lutheran Saturday afternoon. With the win, the Red Raider women move to a record of 22-6 overall and 16-4 in the league.

The GPAC Women’s Tournament kicks off Wednesday with the following schedule:

Hastings (5) at Briar Cliff (4) 6 pm
The Dordt College Defender men set a single season win record Saturday afternoon, grabbing victory twenty-six with an 86-72 victory over the Doane Tigers in their final regular season contest. Dordt College, the GPAC regular season champion, improves to 26-3 on the year and 17-3 in conference play while the Doane’s season draws to a close with an overall mark of 10-19 and 5-15 in the GPAC. Dordt will begin conference play-offs at home next week Wednesday and are the top seed going in to the tournament.
15 Northwestern beat Midland Lutheran Saturday by a final score of 91-77. With the win, the Red Raiders season record extends to 22-6, and 15-5 in the GPAC.
