Hilger Earns NAIA Volleyball Honor

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Lauryn Hilger of Northwestern (Iowa) has been named the NAIA National Women’s Volleyball Attacker of the Week, Valorie Flick of Saint Francis (Ind.) has been named the NAIA National Women’s Volleyball Defender of the Week and Marija Djonovic of College of Idaho has been named the NAIA National Volleyball Setter of the Week, the national office announced Tuesday.

The trio was selected based on their performances from Sept. 10-16 and were chosen out of a pool of conference and Association of Independent Institution winners.

Hilger posted double-digit kills in each of Northwestern’s wins last week over No. 12 Dordt (Iowa) and RV Jamestown (N.D.). with 34 kills, 4.86 kills/set, a 0.500 attack percentage, and also added 14 digs, four service aces and two block assists to her stat line
