Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association All District Teams Out

baseballThe Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association All District Teams are out. In Class 2A Sheldon Orab catcher Jake Rosburg earned a spot on the first team Northwest District team as a utility player. Also named to a utility spot was Tyler Van Engen of Western Christian. Other first teamers include first baseman Michael Callahan of South O’Brien and second baseman Weston Burgeson of Okoboji.

Named to the 2A second team was Orab outfielder Matt Buenger. He was joined by Brett Puhrmann and Sam Weber of South O’Brien along with Aaron Van Wyhe of Unity and Western team mates Colton Van Otterloo and Ryan LeLoux.

Seven area players were first team Northwest All District in 1A. They include pitcher Jon Van Beek, third baseman Kasey Myrlie and utility player Scott Erickson of West Lyon. Marcus Meriden Cleghorn put outfielder Tanner Utesch and utility player Dillan Spieler on the first team. Michael Grady of Spalding earned a spot as a utility player. Remsen St Mary’s is represented by pitcher Matt Wesselmann.

Named to the second team from Remsen St May’s were Tyler Delperding, Danny Smith and Elliott Conover. Spalding is represented by Brady Heying and Thomas Stoll. Also named to the second team were Andrew Hoefling of Marcus Meriden Cleghorn, James Van Beek of West Lyon and Nick Braun of Remsen Union.

Earning sports on the 3A West District first team were MOC Floyd Valley team mates Derek Rupp at second base and Casey Guthmiller who earned a utility spot.

Named to the second team was Austin Kelderman of the Dutch along with Tyler Dolieslager of Boyden Hull Rock Valley who earned a utility spot on the all district second team.
