Iowa High School Football Playoffs Open

High school football playoffs began around the state of Iowa Wednesday night, with home field advantage looming large for most of the match-ups in our area. In our KIWA-AM broadcast game, the Sheldon Orabs won over Forest City in exciting fashion, scoring on a 2-point conversion in overtime to take the 15-14 win to advance to the second round. In our KIWA-FM game, the top-ranked Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley Nighthawks proved their dominance with 42-14 win over Clarion Goldfield.
