Des Moines Iowa — Area wrestlers got back to the mat for a second day Friday beginning with Class 1A wrestlers. The first session of the day ran from 9:00 till 1:00 pm and included Class 3A and Class 1A quarterfinals, then Class 3A and 1A 2nd round consolations.
In Class 2A wrestlers hit the mat from 2:30 until 5:45 pm for the Class 2A quarterfinals, Class 3A semi finals and 3rd round consolations and Class 2A 2nd round consolations.
The evening session consisted of Class 1A semis and 3rd round consolations from 7:30 to 8:40. From 8:45 till 10:00 pm it was the Class 2A semis and 3rd round of consolations.

Dylan Schuck of Sibley-Ocheyedan won his first match by fall in 1:00. In the semis he won by fall in 3:34 and will wrestle for the title Saturday night.

John Henrich of Akron-Westfield won by fall in 3:01. In the semis he won a 5-0 decision and will wrestle for the title Saturday night.
Garrett Sayler of Sibley-Ocheyedan lost his first match of the day on a 3-4 decision. He won his next match by fall in 1:15 and in the 3rd round of consolations dropped a 4-3 decision. He will wrestle for 7th place on Saturday.

Trent Kruger of Sibley-Ocheyedan won his quarterfinal match on a 6-4 decision. In the semis he was pinned in 2:40 and will wrestle in the consolation semis on Saturday.

Hunter De Jong of Sibley-Ocheyedan won his quarterfinal match on a 7-1 decision. In the semis he was pinned in 1:51 and will wrestle in the consolation semis on Saturday.

Skyler Bonestroo of Western Christian lost his quarterfinal match by a 3-2 decision and won his 2nd match of the day on a 10-4 decision. In the 3rd round of consolations Friday evening he posted a 5-2 win and will wrestle in the consolation semifinals Saturday.
