Iowa State vs Oklahoma Preview

Iowa State coach Matt Campbell says the Cyclones have confidence in Zeb Noland if he is the starting quarterback against fifth ranked Oklahoma.

Kyle Kempt injured a knee in Saturday’s loss to Iowa and his status for the Sooners is uncertain.

Iowa State stunned the Sooners a year ago in Norman but Campbell says he was most impressed with the way the Cyclones responded to the win.

Heisman winner Baker Mayfield has moved on to the NFL but the Sooner offense is off to an impressive start under Kyler Murray.

Campbell says Murray is a dual threat at quarterback.

Oklahoma is dealing with an injury of its own heading into Saturday’s Big 12 opener at Iowa State. Star running back Rodney Anderson suffered a season ending knee injury in the fifth ranked Sooners’ victory over UCLA.

That’s Oklahoma coach Lincoln Riley who says the Sooners will be forced to move on.

This will be the third straight game that the Sooners aren’t sure who will be the starting quarterback they play against.

A year ago ISU stunned the Sooners in Norman but Riley says revenge is not the motivation.

Kickoff is scheduled for 11 am at Jack Trice Stadium.
