Jenness to Wrestle at Northwestern

Luke Jenness of Primghar has signed a letter of intent to continue his wrestling career at Northwestern College in 2019/20.

Jenness is a three-time state qualifier in the state of Iowa. He is 134-23 in his career and is 17-0 currently as a senior at South O’Brien. Jenness placed 7th as a sophomore at state and also earned first place finishes in the conference tournament his sophomore and junior years. He is a three-time captain and also voted most valuable wrestler on his team for his first three years of high school.

“We are excited to get such a quality young man on board for next year,” commented head coach Rik Dahl. “Outside of wrestling, Luke is a young man with a strong moral compass, incredible drive, and an unmatched work ethic. These attributes has transferred to the wrestling mat in big ways. This young man will accrue over 150 wins when it is all said and done and has high goals for his senior year and college. We love that about him and look forward to see the impact he will make in the room and on our campus!”

Luke plans to study Biology or Exercise Science while at Northwestern.
