Joachim Signs With Northwestern

Northwestern College logoOrange City, Iowa — Cole Joachim has signed a letter of intent to continue his football career at Northwestern College next year.

Joachim is a 5’11”, 225-pound defensive end and offensive lineman who played two years for West Lyon High School. Joachim totaled 28.5 tackles and two sacks in earning second team all-district honors on defense as a senior. On offense, he helped pave the way for one of the top rushing offenses in the state as a member of the o-line. Joachim was part of a Wildcats’ team that qualified for the state playoffs and finished with a 6-4 record. A member of the National Honor Society, Joachim plans to major in athletic training at Northwestern. He is the son of Kevin and Julie.

“We are excited to have Cole join our Red Raider football team,” commented head coach Matt McCarty. “He plays with a high motor and will be a great fit along our defensive line. Cole comes from an outstanding high school program and has been coached well throughout his career.”
