Josh Wilson to Join Northwestern Football Program

Northwesstern logoJosh Wilson of Orange City has signed a letter of intent to continue his football career at Northwestern College next year.

Wilson is a 5’10”, 175-pound running back and linebacker who played three years for MOC-Floyd Valley High School. Wilson led the Dutch in rushing, totaling 571 yards on 133 attempts and seven touchdowns. He also recorded 23 catches for 218 yards and a touchdown, earning first team all-district honors for the second straight year. On defense, Wilson totaled 41 tackles, two for a loss, and one fumble recovery.

A member of the National Honor Society, Wilson plans to major in biology at Northwestern. He is the son of Michael and Michelle.

“Josh is a solid football player and a very good running back,” commented Achterhoff. “He runs the ball well and is receiving threat out of the backfield. Josh is a young man who can make a positive impact both on our team and on the Northwestern College campus.”
