Justin Van Kalsbeek to Play Basketball at Northwestern

Van Kalsbeek is a 6’6” forward who has played three years for the MOC-Floyd Valley basketball team. Van Kalsbeek earned all-conference honors after averaging 12.5 points, 5.2 rebounds and two assists per game last year. He shot an impressive 79% from the field and helped lead the Dutch to the state tournament and a 24-1 record in 2012. Van Kalsbeek plans to major in pre-medicine at Northwestern and is the son of Kelly and Rachel.
“We are very excited to have Justin commit to our basketball program,” commented head coach Kris Korver. “Justin is a long, athletic player who will continue to get better as he matures. He is going to have a tremendous senior year and has been coached well at MOC-Floyd Valley High School. We look forward to his future at Northwestern College.”
