Kade Heikens to Play Soccer at Northwestern

Northwesstern logoKade Heikens of Lake Park has signed a letter of intent to continue his soccer career at Northwestern beginning this fall.

Heikens, the son of Jason and Dallas, is a 5-9 forward for Harris-Lake Park High School. Last season, Harris-Lake Park went 8-7 and lost in the sub-state semifinal round of the tournament. Heikens scored 12 goals and made seven assists as a First Team All-Conference forward. Heikens earned First Team accolades both his junior and senior season and was named to the All-Tournament team at the state tournament as well. During his final three years of high school Heikens scored 32 goals and made 25 assists.

A member of the A honor roll, Heikens plans to major in Athletic Training while at Northwestern.

“We are happy to announce the signing of Kade,” said head coach Dan Swier. “He has competed at a high level in a very good high school program for the last four years. Kade is a dangerous player in the final third of the field and we hope he brings his attacking mentality along to Northwestern this fall.”
