Gesink a sophomore from Sioux Center and a Western Christian alum averaged 9.3 digs per set in a pair of five-set wins over Morningside and Midland. She also averaged 2.9 digs per set as the Defenders improved to 17-4 overall and 7-1 in the GPAC with those wins.
The Defenders played a conference match with Briar Cliff on Tuesday, October 9th and are now 18-4 and 8-1 after that win.
Gesink is averaging 9.3 kills per set with 2.64 digs and she is putting down just under a kill per set and her block average is 0.64.
The Defenders face three teams in the most recent NAIA Coaches’ Poll this Friday and Saturday when they meet Columbia, Viterbo and Taylor in Bellevue, Nebraska.
