Kellie Goedken to Join Northwestern Volleyball Program

Northwesstern logoFormer Sheldon Orab Kellie Goedken has signed a letter of intent to continue her volleyball career at Northwestern College next fall.

A four-year starter and 2011 graduate of Sheldon, Goedken earned all-state honors three years, including first team accolades as a senior. Goedken ranked eighth in class 2A in kills per set (3.9) and 10th in blocks per set (1.42) in leading the Orabs to the state tournament and a 36-4 overall record her senior year.

She hit .454 and totaled 152 digs, 143 blocks and 27 ace serves. Goedken participated in the senior all-star game and received first team all-Siouxland Conference honors three years. She also led the conference in blocks in leading her team to a state 2A runner-up finish as a sophomore. Goedken will major in pre-medicine at Northwestern and is the daughter of Glen and Kathleen.

“Kellie is a wonderful addition to our volleyball team,” commented head coach Kyle Van Den Bosch. “She is a great young lady and a very talented and accomplished volleyball player as well. We are excited that Kellie has decided to continue her volleyball career.”
