Kendra De Jong Wins Back to Back Player of The Week Honors

Northwesstern logoFor a second consecutive week Northwestern forward Kendra De Jong is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women’s Basketball Player-of-the-Week.

De Jong, a senior from Hospers, helped lead 11th-ranked Northwestern to a pair of wins last week. The senior averaged 23 points and 14 rebounds per game in wins over Mount Marty and Doane. De Jong shot 53% for the week and 88% from the free throw line. She also contributed 3.5 assists per game. She recorded double-doubles in both games, her seventh and eighth double-doubles of the season and 38th of her career.

Northwestern improved to 19-6 overall and 13-5 in the GPAC.
