Korver Signs With Northwestern

Northwestern logoOrange City, Iowa — Christian Korver has signed a letter of intent to continue his basketball career at Northwestern College next year.

Korver is a 6’4” shooting guard/wing who has lettered three years for the MOC-Floyd Valley basketball team heading into his senior season. Korver earned first team all-conference honors after averaging 14 points, 4.5 rebounds and nearly two assists per game as a junior. He drained a team-high 66 three-pointers, shooting 48% from beyond the arc, in helping his team to an 18-4 overall record. Korver netted over 12 points per game and made 70 three-pointers as a sophomore. Also a state qualifier in track and field, Korver is a member of the National Honor Society and honor roll. He is the son of Kris and Ann.

“As a coach, I am excited to have a player like Christian join us,” commented head coach Kris Korver. “Christian is a very good shooter with a strong work ethic. He has played on some excellent teams at MOC-Floyd Valley and has been coached well throughout his career. Christian will be a real asset to the Red Raider basketball program. As a father, I am thrilled to see Christian choose to attend Northwestern College. It is a blessing to know that Christian will be surrounded by an awesome community of people.”
