Maass To Play for Northwestern

Northwestern College logoOrange City, Iowa — Megan Maass has signed a letter of intent to continue her basketball career at Northwestern College next fall.

Maass is a 5’6 guard who is in her fourth season playing for the Remsen-Union High School basketball team. Maass earned second team all-conference honors after averaging over 13 points and 10 rebounds per game as a junior. She totaled 49 steals and 19 blocked shots as well. This season, Maass is scoring 13.6 points per game while shooting 64% from the field. A member of the National Honor Society and honor roll, Maass plans to major in exercise science at Northwestern. She is the daughter of Terry and Amy.

“We are excited to have Megan join our basketball program and Northwestern campus community,” said head Northwestern basketball coach Chris Yaw. “Megan has worked extremely hard during her career and has improved every step of the way. Her character and commitment to the classroom add to the excitement that I have for Megan and her future experience at Northwestern College.”
