Macy Jacobsma to Continue Softball Career at Dordt

Macy JacobsmaSioux Center Iowa — Macy Jacobsma, senior at Sheldon High School has announced her intention to attend Dordt College and join the softball program.

As a junior, Jacobsma had 20 hits in 63 at-bats with a slugging percentage of .413 and an on-base percentage of .463. She scored 11 runs with 12 runs batted in and 11 stolen bases. Jacobsma earned Siouxland All-Conference Honorable Mention accolades in 2015 and was part of a Sheldon team that was recognized for its academic achievements in the classroom in both 2014 and 2015.

“Macy comes into the program with experience at many defensive positions. We are excited about her versatility and look forward to watching her continue to develop over her career at Dordt College,” said Dordt head softball coach Jeff Zomer.

Macy is the daughter of Kory and Karissa Jacobsma of Sheldon, Iowa. She intends to study elementary education at Dordt.
