Mitchell Post Signs With Northwestern Football

postMitchell Post of Sioux Center has signed a letter of intent to continue his football career at Northwestern College next fall.

Post is a 6’2”, 190-pound defensive/offensive lineman who played three years for the Unity Christian High School football team. Post totaled 48 tackles and team-best 2.5 sacks for the Knights’ defense. He registered 4.5 tackles for a loss and one interception. As part of the o-line, Post helped pave the way for a Knights offense that totaled 1,951 yards and 15 touchdowns. He plans to major in agri-business at Northwestern and is the son of Steve and Vonda.

“We are excited to see what Mitchell can do at the linebacker position after playing along the defensive line in high school,” commented head coach Kyle Achterhoff. “He has great work ethic and we think he has great potential as a college linebacker.”
