Mustangs Top Wolves

mustang logoHull, Iowa — The George-Little Rock Mustangs defeated the Harris-Lake Park Wolves 75-63 in a Class 1A District 2 semifinal Tuesday night in Hull.

The Wolves caught fire from beyond the arc in the first quarter, but GLR muscled their way back and after one the score was 23-19 Mustangs. George-Little Rock then jumped out of the gate in the 2nd quarter and heading into halftime, GLR had a 46-33 lead.  After three, the Mustang’s lead was 60-49 and George-Little Rock went on to win 75-63.

The Mustangs had 3 players in double figures. GLR got a team high 19 points from Josh Haken, Austin Jensen added 13 points, while Caleb Terhark put in another 11 points.

Harris-Lake Park’s got a game high 28 points from Jordan Kyle.

George-Little Rock improves to 13-10 on the year and will play Boyden-Hull Thursday night in Sheldon. Harris-Lake Park ends their year at 10-12. With the impending weather the start time for the District final has been moved up to 5:30.
