Nighthawks Baseball Team Holds Off Orabs

nighthawk logoBoyden Hull Rock Valley held on for a 4-3 baseball win at Sheldon Thursday night. the Nighthawks scored two runs in the second and two more in the fourth before the Orabs staged a come back. Sheldon cut the lead to 4-1 with a run in the bottom of the fourth inning. With two more in the bottom of the sixth they had pulled within 4-3. The Nighthawks held the Orabs scoreless in the bottom of the seventh to get the win.

Travis Buyert drove in two runs going 1-for-3 at the plate. Hunter McDonald was 2-for-3 with two runs scored.

Boyden Hull Rock Valley was led by Isaiah Richter who drove in two runs and scored a run. Bryce VanBeek went 3-for-4 with two runs scored.

Jarod Hanson went five and a third innings for the win. He walked 5 and struck out 4. Mitch Jensen walked 2 and struck out 3.
