Fort Dodge Iowa — The Boyden Hull Rock Valley softball team fell to third ranked Solon 6-3 in the Class 3A third place game Friday morning. The game ended after the 6th inning due to a 90 minute time limit. KIWA’s Justin Hellinga had the play-by-play, and filed this report from Fort Dodge.
The future looks bright for the Nighthawks. They graduate two seniors but will bring back their entire defensive alignment intact for next season. Nighthawks sophomore pitcher Kaitlyn Van Der Zwaag was named to the Class 3A All-Tournament Team.
