Northwestern in Receiving Votes Category of Latest NAIA D-II Women’s Basketball coaches’ Basketball Poll

naia_logoKansas City Kansas — Northwestern College dropped out of this week’s NAIA D-II Women’s Basketball coaches’ poll released Tuesday by the national office. They are now in the receiving votes category.

Ranked 22nd in the Jan. 24 poll, Northwestern fell out of the top 25 and is receiving votes in the Feb. 7 ratings. The Red Raiders join four other GPAC teams in the poll; Concordia (2), Morningside (8), Hastings (10) and Dakota Wesleyan (12).

St. Francis (Ill.), one of two teams still unbeaten, holds down the top spot for the fourth consecutive coaches’ poll, owning a perfect 24-0 record. They are followed by Concordia, Saint Xavier (Ill.), Marian (Ind.) and Southern Oregon. Southeastern (Fla.) is the only other unbeaten team and is ranked seventh.
