KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Two conference titles were up for grabs on Saturday, and Baker (Kan.) and Langston (Okla.) earned victories in a critical spot heading into the final rating of the 2018 NAIA Football regular season. With the two victories, both teams secured their conference automatic bid to the NAIA Football Championship Series.
The top eight remained the same this week as top-seed Morningside (Iowa) put together another strong performance in a 49-13 win over Jamestown (N.D.). The top five teams in the poll outscored their opponents 256-48 in the final weekend of play.
Morningside remaines #1 at the end of the regular season, while Northwestern stays at the 5 spot. Dordt, Eastern Oregon and Arizona Christian made the jump into the poll in the final week of competition.
