Northwestern Sweeps Dordt in GPAC Clash

Orange City, Iowa — The Northwestern Red Raiders basketball teams swept Dordt in GPAC basketball action Wednesday night in Orange City.
In the women’s game, the upset-minded Defender women saw their upset bid come up short as the eleventh-ranked NWC women posted a 71-67 victory. The Red Raiders improve to 16-6 overall and 10-5 in the GPAC with the win while the Defenders fall to 7-10 in conference play and 13-13 on the season.
The men’s game came down to the wire as the fifth-ranked Red Raiders completed the sweep with an 89-87 overtime win over fifteenth-ranked Dordt College. With the win Northwestern improves to 18-5 overall and 12-3 in the GPAC while the Defenders fall to 19-6 and 11-5 in the conference.
