Northwestern Ties For Top Spot in GPAC Preseason Volleyball Poll

Northwesstern logoNorthwestern College tied with Doane for the top spot in the 2013 GPAC preseason volleyball poll.

The Red Raiders earned four first place votes and tied Midland with 86 points for first place. The Warriors earned five first place votes. Doane totaled 78 points and earned one first place vote while Dordt was just behind with 77 points. Defending conference champion Hastings totaled 72 points and received the final first place vote.

Northwestern finished fifth in the GPAC last season with a 10-6 record, falling in the GPAC quarterfinals to Midland to finish 21-10 overall. The Red Raiders earned votes in the final NAIA coaches’ poll.
