Northwestern Women Advance, Dordt Ends Tournament Run in GPAC Women’s Basketball Tournament

The top four seeds posted wins on Wednesday as the 2013 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Women’s Postseason Basketball Championship got underway with quarterfinal round action.
Top seed Morningside posted a 66-44 win over 8th seeded Hastings in Sioux City, Iowa. Also in Sioux City 4thseeded Briar Cliff was a winner over five seed Dakota Wesleyan 80-67. On the bottom of the bracket second seeded Concordia posted a home win over 7th Dordt 75-63 and three seed Northwestern was a home winner over 6th seed Mount Marty 89-63.
On Saturday in the GPAC Semifinals it will be fourth seed Briar Cliff at top seed Morningside, while two seed Concordia will host three seed Northwestern. Both games will tip off at 3pm.
