Date posted - September 24, 2012
Northwestern defensive lineman Jordan Carlson is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Defensive Player-of-the-Week.
Carlson, a senior, from Storm Lake, Iowa, helped lead then 16th ranked Northwestern to a 47-12 win over Dakota State University. Carlson played a key role in shutting down Dakota State’s offense. He accounted for six solo tackles and assisted in five tackles, totaling 8.5 tackles.
The returning All-American also had three of the Red Raiders seven sacks. To add on to the already impressive game, Carlson forced a fumble and led the Red Raider Defense to limiting the Dakota State offense to just 255 yards.
Northwestern College will take on Nebraska Wesleyan University this Saturday, September 29, in Lincoln at 1 pm.
