Northwestern College moved up two spots, and Dordt is up one position in this week’s edition of the NAIA D-II Women’s Basketball Coaches’ poll released Tuesday.
Ranked fifth in the last two polls, Northwestern moved into a tie for third with Indiana Tech in the Jan.8 coaches’ poll. The Red Raiders, with a 15-2 record, totaled 286 points. Dordt ranked 13th, and 15th in the last two polls continues to climb to 12th. Dordt, with a 15-4 record, totaled 202 points. Other GPAC teams in the rankings are Dakota Wesleyan (1), Concordia (2), Morningside (9), Hastings (21) and Midland (RV).
DWU is once again the top-ranked team, holding the No.1 spot for the second consecutive rating, followed by Concordia at No.2. Indiana Tech (3), Northwestern and Southeastern (Fla.) round out the top five. Sterling (Kan.), the NAIA’s only undefeated team left in the NAIA at 17-0, moved up to seventh, just after College of the Ozarks (Mo.)
