NWC Third, Dordt Fifth in Preseason Volleyball Poll

The Northwestern College volleyball team was picked third and Dordt College fifth in the annual GPAC preseason coaches’ poll released Monday. The Red Raiders earned one of the 11 possible first place votes and totaled 77 points, four in back of second place Midland. Doane, the 2011 league runner-up, was picked first, earning six first place votes and totaling 94 points. Hastings earned one first place vote and totaled 70 points while defending champion Morningside and Dordt finished tied for fifth with 69 points.
