Orab Boys Basketball Team Wins First Ever Meeting With Trinity Christian

The Sheldon Orab Boys Basketball Team traveled to Trinity Christian Monday night and returned home with a 68-35 win in the first ever meeting between the two programs.

Sheldon opened an 18-7 first quarter lead and pushed it to a 42-17 halftime advantage. At the end of three quarters, Sheldon was up 54-23 before going on to the win.

The Orange had three players in double figures led by Dallas Ennema with 15 including 9 points in the first quarter. James Gradert hit for a dozen and Chris Balster seeing his first action of the year had 9 at halftime on route to 11 in the ballgame.

Brad Gritters had 10 points on the night to lead the Tigers. Colton Hoksbergen was next with 9 points on the night.

Sheldon ranked number 9 in Class 2A in the latest Radio Iowa Poll moves to 4-0 on the season while Trinity Christian stands at 0-3 for the year.

A busy five days continues for the Orabs as they get back to Siouxland Conference play Tuesday with a trip to Okoboji. We’ll bring you the broadcast on KIWA FM 105.3.
