Northwest Iowa — The Sheldon Orab boys golf team claimed the Siouxland Conference title by two points with a second place finish in the final regular season meet at Otter Valley Golf Club. In the final season standings Sheldon was two points better than MOC Floyd Valley 90-88. Boyden Hull finished third at 81. Rounding out the top five were Sioux Center at 76 and Central Lyon at 55.
At Otter Valley Monday the team totals had MOC Floyd Valley at 156 with the Orabs firing a 159. Boyden Hull was third at 170 followed by Okoboji at 171 and West Lyon at 173. Medalist honors went to Tate Arends of MOC Floyd Valley with a 1 under round of 35. Nick Bomgaars of Sheldon was the runner up at 38 in a tie breaker over Trenton De Haan of MOC Floyd Valley. Rounding out the top six were Tyler Merley of Sheldon at 39 with Jaden Snyder of West Lyon and Ian Brandt of Okoboji both at 40.

All Conference teams have also been announced. Sheldon put two players on the first team with Tyler Merley and Nick Bomgaars earning first team honors. Dominic Seivert and Phil Cain were named to the second team.
