Sioux Center, Iowa — The #1 Sioux Center Warriors continued their undefeated streak in the Girls Class 3A Region 1 quarterfinals Saturday night in Sioux Center with a 77-40 win over the Sheldon.
The score was tied early at 2-2, but the Warriors went on two big runs. After one quarter of play, Sioux Center’s lead was 16 at 22-6. Heading into halftime the Warrior’s extended their lead to 60-20. After three quarters of play it was 67-29, and Sioux Center went on to win 77-40.
Sioux Center got a game high 14 points from Jessica Harald and Lexi Toering added 13. 4 of the 5 starters for the Warriors were in double figures.
The Orabs top scorer was Katie Wagner with 10 points.
Sioux Center improves to 22-0 on the year, and will play the winner of MOC-Floyd Valley and Spirit Lake in Sioux Center on Wednesday, February 15th at 7 pm. Sheldon ends their year at 5-17.
