Orab Girls win Alta Aurelia Invite

Sheldon Orabs 1Alta Iowa — The Sheldon girls cross country team finished first at the Alta Aurelia invite Monday. The Orabs posted a team total 30 to win the girls competition over host team Alta Aurelia who put together a team total 53. On the boys side Sioux Center outscored Manson Northwest Webster 70-83.

The Sheldon girls had four runners in the top 10 individually led by Anna Marie Fjeld who was second overall in a time of 21:43. Anessa Schoo was third in 22:07 followed by Emma Van Meeteren who was 4th in 22:11. McKenzie Wagner was 7th in 22:43 with Sarah Cain rounding out the Orab individuals with a time of 24:41.

Sheldon was led by Dawson Jacobsma with an 8th place finish in a time of 18:05. Mitchal Van Gorp was in the top 15 finishing 12th overall in a time of 18:43
