Rachel Reints to Play Softball at Northwestern

Northwesstern logoRachel Reints of Orange City has signed a letter of intent to continue her softball career at Northwestern next fall.

Reints has lettered two years for the MOC-Floyd Valley High School softball team heading into her final season in 2013. The 5’8” first baseman and designated hitter hit .368 with five doubles and three home runs in leading the Dutch to a 23-6 overall record. Reints scored 17 runs and totaled 26 RBIs, leading the Dutch to the class 3A sub-state final. She plans to major in nursing at Northwestern College and is the daughter of Robert and Pam.

“We are pleased that Rachel has decided to be a part of our softball program,” commented head coach Chris Nachtigall. “Rachel is a great athlete and a great person that will make a great addition to our campus. She will add good depth to our infield.”
